9 REAL GEARS - 568% GEAR RANGE
The P-Line XR with 9 equally spaced gears ergonomically designed for specific applications.  The P1.9XR has gearing steps at 24.3% making it ideal to stay in gears for longer.  All gears are real gears, as there is no such thing as gear overlap with a Pinion.

DESIGN OF THE GEARBOX TYPES
Common to all gearboxes is the spur gearing consisting of two sub-units connected in sequence.   The individual gear ratios are derived by matching the two sub-units with various cog pairings.  The P1.9XR gearbox is built using a 3-gear unit mated to a 3-gear unit – a 3×3 gearing type.

FAST AND INTUITIVE SHIFTING
Pinion gearboxes shift at lightning speed. One or multiple gears, whether stationary or while riding!  We use a rotary-style shifter for optimal gearbox control.

CENTRE OF GRAVITY
A more central and lower centre of gravity along with lighter rear wheel reduces unsprung mass and improves handling, ride dynamics, and suspension performance.

ROBUST SHIFTING MECHANISM
The Pinion gearbox is integrated into the frame at the bottom bracket and is completely sealed from the elements.  It is protected from dirt and performs in all weather conditions. When things get rowdy on the trail, there are no exposed shifting components that can break off when you push the envelope a little too far!
